Paramore breaks up

This is what Paramore looks like right now, with Hayley on one side the band on the other. Sad.
I was devastated to hear that Paramore has broken up. Although I did sort of see this coming... when Hayley wore a dress on stage when she sang "Decode" for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

I was like, "Whoaaa, she's in a dress!" but I was thinking more like, "Oh no she's in a dress! Next thing you know she's saving her head!"

Yeaah, well she didn't actually shave her head now did she? But she did post that pic on twitter so, it's kinda like the same thing. Omens.

Although it's still disappointing that they proved me and my friends right. I was sorta hoping they'd stay true to the craft of rock and be real and not be a puppet of mainstream rock. It was nice seeing her more like a girl, but that was not how you would see Paramore. It was like seeing Avril Lavigne dance and wear pink. It's crazy!

What's worse though, is that things got from sad to just plain ugly with rumors flying around how Hayley's fame-hogging puppet, and the truth behind the band's beginnings. It's kinda hard to believe when you've seen their behind the scenes videos of concerts and whatnots. It's sad that songs, I've learned to love came from such a disturbed band.

I really do hope that they're all well and good with each other, and that Josh and Zac aren't really that mad at Hayley or the band. It is sad though that they were the ones to leave since technically it's their band, they started it.

It's sad seriously, I really hope that it isn't true what everyone's saying. I love Paramore! :(( it's freaking heartbreaking.

Now I don't mean to spread the rumor, it's just that I think Paramore fans need to distinguish the truth from the lie. So this is the link to the Farro brothers exit statement and you be the judge if it's real or not, or if you want to believe it or not.

I really hope it ain't real

*edit

So, apparently the exit statement is true. Josh released a video saying that it was. I am so devastated by this. Seriously, I shouldn't be affected at all, but I love their music so much, and knowing that it came from hostile beginnings is so disappointing for me, and I bet for Paramore fans out there too.

So here's the video for Josh's confirmation that the blog is true.

Even with this, I'm still hoping that everything will turn out good.

Anberlin Concert

So a lot of people will ask, who is Anberlin? Or, what are they?

Well, they're this alternative rock band, that isn't really mainstream but makes awesome music!

I used be one of those people who didn't know these kinds of bands. I was more of a pop girl. Well, not pop POP, just popular music; you know, those always shown on MTV. Anyway, when I entered college I met alternative fanatics, and so, eventually I got introduced to Anberlin.

One of my first Anberlin songs was "Autobahn" from their first album "Blueprints for the Black Market" which was a total hit with some of my classmates so I kinda got the fever as well. We loved to go out of town on impromptu trips, so "Autobahn" was like the favorite roadtrip song.

Next favorite Anberlin song would be "A Day Late" from their "Never Take Friendship Personal" album. It's about someone confessing about their feelings too late when they've both move on. I know this sounds all lovey dovey and cheesy, but it's real good!

Another Anberlin fave would be "Retrace" from their  "New Surrender" album and it's a kind of reminiscing, anyway, I shouldn't really be describe it in my points of view, it makes it all so cheesy. lol.

There's a playlist on my sidebar with these Anberlin songs and you be the judge of them. I'll be adding more of their songs later (because I'm actually at work right now LOL)

The point of this post, as the title says, is that Anberlin is going to have a concert here in Manila on MARCH 9, 2011, at the A-VENUE HALL in Makati.

So if by chance, I have persuaded you to watch it, then you better buy tickets now, because I heard it's running out fast. tickets are only P1500 - VIP and P1000- Gen Ad.

And I thought I'd watch all the good movies this year, then again, some of this hasn't even been shown here, so I have an excuse, but still, I never knew how much I missed. lol.

I'm particularly curious about Jennelyn Mercado's Rosario, I think it's the only one worth watching.

As for RPG Metanoia, though it could be groungbreaking, I don't think the message it conveys to kids is right. Sure, it promotes camaraderie and whatnot, but that only exists in a cyberworld. For me, it's like encouraging kids to stay indoors and play RPG all day, and that is not healthy at all. But, I haven't seen it yet, so I can't really make any comments. It's coold though.

Shake, Rattle and Roll seems a must have every year, huh? But it seems to have lost its touch. I remember when I was a kid, Shake, Rattle and Roll would keep me up for nights, haunting me, now it's just plain funny, sometimes corny.

Showing starts on Christmas Day, December 25. although premiere starts this week, I think.

Sucker Punch

From the creators of 300 and Watchmen, comes an Alice in Wonderland-ish movie but with a twist.

Zack Snyder certainly knows how to bring pictures to life. Then again, Suckerpunch did not come from a graphic novel but it certainly has that feel.

Set in the 1950's a girl locked up in an asylum about to be lobotomized, convinces her inmates to break out, but the setting changes into Baby-Doll's alternate world.

Made up of a mostly female cast, starring Emily Browning (The Uninvited, Lemoky Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events), Vanessa Hudges (High School Musical, Beastly), Jamie Chung (Dragonball),Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish and Carla Gugino to name a few.

Certainly made up of the most seemingly sweet cast, but they have yet to prove that they can be feisty as their characters should be. Well they certainly have the looks, let's see if they actually have what it takes (I'm particularly worried about Vanessa Hudgens.lol).

Pirates, Wizards and Alien Robots

By the time my birthday comes next year (that would be in July), cinemas would be flooded with people with these must see movies, in all kinds of genres, and would be blockbusters.

Seriously, they couldn't have made my decision any harder. Jack Sparrow? Harry Potter? or Sam Witwicky?

Glee: Blaine

I really hope that Darren Criss gets to be a regular on Glee.

Darren Criss plays Blaine, Kurt's supposed love interest. Well whatever he is, he is or will be a great addition to its cast. So far, I have not seen a performance by Blaine, that is not well done. He is a performer, and you can clearly see it.

The Italian Job (2003)

The Italian Job is one of my favorite movies. I just love heist films, they're smart, sly and witty and just about every other word for genius. That is, of course if they get away with it, if they don't, then that doesn't count as a great heist film on my book.

I love everything about this movie, the cars, the scheme, the characters (or the lack of it) and of course..the score.

Bones

For those who love "Bones" the series starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, you should read the original "Bones" series written by Kathy Reichs (which, by the way is one of the shows producers and resident forensic anthropologist).

Although the series is loosely based on Kathy Reichs' main character which have the same name and profession, that's about it. And quite frankly, I find the tv series' Tempe Brennan more appealing, not because she's young and pretty, but because she's more feisty and braver and... hell I just like her.

Paris Vendetta

I have to apologize if I seem to be blogging a lot about Steve Berry. I gotta admit, I got addicted, I remember one critic saying that he gets better with each new book, and he does actually.

I had a hard time putting this particular one down. The suspense was just exhilarating!

Monsters

So what's probably great about this film, for me is the it takes the viewer away from typical big-budget hollywood alien movies, but doesn't fail to deliver, if not, it gives more.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

harry_potter_7_poster
Those who are loyal to the book series like me, you’ll love this movie. Out of all the other films from the franchise, this is the one that stayed true to the story.
For those Harry Potter book series fans out there, this is like a dream come true. A few changes here and there but still, the detail you thought you’d never see, it’s here.

The Charlemagne Pursuit

61WWbokK8LL__SS500_So I had just finished reading “The Charlemagne Pursuit” by Steve Berry; the fourth installment in the Cotton Malone Series.

I never know what to expect from a Berry novel, maybe it’s why I keep buying them. It was always either a miss or a hit, as for this one, it’s a hit.
